Comparing and Contrasting Character Analysis Assignment

Students are going to create a 1-2 (double spaced) page, typed character analysis comparing and contrasting two (2) characters from different texts using ONE (1) specific literary device to show their similarities and differences.

The following example uses dramatic irony to compare and contrast Mary Maloney from "Lamb to the Slaughter" to the Narrator from "The Tell-Tale Heart"

First, we create Evidence Trackers for each character:
* Evidence Trackers not only keep everything organized, but help tie together different literary devices and pieces of textual evidence for the purpose of creating an analysis 




Once you've found enough textual evidence and were able to come up with an analysis for each example, you are ready to move on to writing your Comparing and Contrasting Character Analysis.

This is an example of what the final draft of the assignment looks like, using the textual evidence and analyses from the Evidence Trackers above and including all required elements from the directions:

Wednesday 4/6 (Sections A and B)
Thursday 4/7 (Sections C, D, E)

Final Drafts due:
Thursday 4/7 (Section A)
Friday 4/8 (Sections B, C, D, E)
