NASA makes history during Women's History Month

Great  Section 3  info for papers about Sally Ride and the influence she had on creating opportunities for women in Science/Space exploration. 

Expedition 16 commander Peggy Whitson, the first female commander of the International Space Station, participates in a seven hour, ten minute spacewalk. During the spacewalk, Whitson and astronaut Daniel Tani, flight engineer, replaced a motor at the base of one of the station's solar wings.

Soyuz Rolls Out

The Soyuz rocket is rolled out to the launch pad by train on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Launch of the Soyuz rocket is scheduled for March 29 and will send Expedition 35 Soyuz Commander Pavel Vinogradov, and Flight Engineers Chris Cassidy of NASA and Alexander Misurkin of Russia on a five-and-a-half-month mission aboard the International Space Station.

Students in my section B class identified and labelled 84 text structures in various nonfiction texts from their table bins. They found 34 examples of "descriptions," and so we asked ourselves.... is description the most commonly used structure? or are we just more comfortable recognizing description?
